Molecule of the Week

In June of 2004 ION introduced a new site element: the molecule of the week. Each week a molecule with interesting properties, uses, and/or history will be showcased, along with pertinent graphics and references.

Note: we apologize for the large gap in molecules of the week. We intend to attempt to get back up to speed, perhaps even filling in some of the existing holes.

Granted, there are a number of sites on the Web that already feature a similar program. However, ION's "MOTW" will be unique in that all information about the molecule will be gathered and presented by chemistry students, and directed especially at students.

The current week's molecule will also appear on the main news page; this page serves as an archive index from which past molecules can be found. Enjoy!
