- Okay, so Conrad hasn't been able to update the site in a long time due to work
and school commitments. But he promises that he is working on some neat new lessons
and programs for the site.
- This site is best viewed with Mozilla Firefox, a free web browser that is faster, more secure, and less obnoxious than Internet Explorer (for example, Firefox blocks pop-up windows). ION recommends that you download it from getfirefox.com today (available for Windows, MacOS X, and Linux).

- First update in a while... more is coming in the very
near future. Anyhow, in recent weeks NASA
has announced that no more service missions will be dispatched to the Hubble
Space Telescope, effectively dooming the instrument. This is an about-face
from previous plans, which called for equipment repairs and upgrades to allow
the Telescope to keep exploring the universe. Though this isn't directly
chemistry related, much information about the chemistry of the universe can
be gained through spectroscopic studies with the Hubble. In light of this fact,
Conrad has chosen to post a link to a petition for NASA to reconsider its decision.
If you support the Hubble Space Telescpe, click the picture below to visit the
petition site:
- A new section, Molecule of the Week, is
coming soon.

- The gases lesson is finally online!
- The gases lesson was written using
cascading style sheets and DHTML, and is the first page to be formatted almost
exclusively by class structure (for you web geeks out there). This means that
if the page looks really strangely formatted, try upgrading your web browser
(IE, Netscape, Mozilla, whatever; all should work, all seem to at least
partially implement the new CSS3 revisions). If this does not solve the
problem, please contact us.
Check back often for updates!
